This privacy policy explains how Elijah Z. Green (“I,” “me,” or “this Site”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit elijahzgreen.com.
Information I collect
When you use the contact form, I collect the name, email address, topic, and message you submit.
I also use Cloudflare Web Analytics (opens in a new tab) to see how many people visit and how quickly pages load. It doesn’t use cookies or local storage and doesn’t fingerprint visitors; it records each page view with general details such as the page, the referring site, your browser, operating system, device type, and country, and I only see these as totals, never as a profile of you. I don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, for example to confirm that a visitor isn’t a bot.
If you use the Pause motion button, that preference is saved only in your own browser’s local storage and is never sent to me.
How I use your information
Information submitted through the contact form is used only to respond to your message and to communicate with you about inquiries, collaboration, or opportunities related to this Site. I don’t use it for marketing, advertising, or any unrelated purpose.
How your information is shared
Contact form submissions are processed through Formspree (opens in a new tab), a third-party service that delivers your name, email address, topic, and message to my email inbox. Formspree also keeps a copy in its submission archive for a limited time and logs technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and referring page. This Site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare (opens in a new tab), which processes your IP address and request data to deliver and protect the Site and to provide the analytics described above. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab). The fonts are served from this Site itself, so loading a page doesn’t contact any other font service. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
Data retention
I keep contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond to you — generally no more than 6 months, unless a longer conversation is ongoing. Formspree’s archive copy and Cloudflare’s logs are kept according to their own policies, linked above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to know what information I have about you, access or correct it, request deletion, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. I do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email elijahgreen3@gmail.com. EEA/UK visitors also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For visitors in the EEA/UK, the basis for processing contact form data is your consent, given by voluntarily submitting the form. The basis for the hosting, security, and analytics processing described above is my legitimate interest in keeping this Site secure and understanding, in aggregate, how it’s used.
Children’s privacy
This Site is not directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where required) without verified parental consent. If you believe a child has submitted information here, contact me and I’ll remove it.
International visitors
This Site is operated from Bangladesh, where I read and reply to messages. Formspree processes form submissions in the United States and other countries where it operates, and Cloudflare delivers the Site through data centers around the world. These countries may have different data protection laws than yours.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy occasionally; changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
